These are seasonal, summer employment opportunities (for example in hotels and restaurants, as lifeguards and in amusement parks, etc) and are paid on average $1400 per month (with accommodation often included).
This program is an excellent way to live an experience abroad, improve their level of English and develop their international network. The students will spend a summer completely immersed in a US working environment and experience to the full the American culture.
